Ward 3 Resident,
Just wanted to give you a quick update on some important items before the Christmas holiday.
Still Time to Take the North Royalton Ward 3 Sidewalk Survey
There is still time to take my online survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/NKGPCRQ for Ward 3 residents to give further input on the issue of sidewalks. Survey takes less than 2 minutes to complete. Council has been debating this issue for over five years. All of the ward councilmen were urged to reach out to their residents in correlation with this issue after the November 4th City Council Streets Committee Meeting. City Council has been reviewing the recommendations from the year long North Royalton Alternative Transportation Study that was conducted by the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency. The study expands upon recommendations made from the 2014 City Master Plan that calls for the city to increase connectivity throughout parts of the city through various methods such as sidewalks, bike lanes, and etc. The study highlights some specific areas of the city to start focusing on for the future in regard to the installation of sidewalks.. The only areas in our ward that were recommend are as follows: State Rd. (Wallings Rd. to Castle Dr.) and York Rd. (York Alpha Dr, to W Wallings Rd.). Read More. Your feedback and participation are greatly appreciated. The sidewalk survey will run until January 4, 2016. Ward 3 residents who don’t have internet access can pick up a paper version of the survey at the City Council Office at 14600 State Rd. Click Here to complete the survey now.

Greetings Ward 3 Resident,
I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with their family and friends! Wow, Christmas is just around the corner. As we approach the end of 2015, things remain relatively busy in City Government with much to update you on.
Thank You
Before I get into my update below. I just like to take a moment and thank you the residents for recently re-electing in the November 3rd General Election to serve another two-year term on City Council. Legendary professional boxer Muhammad Ali once said “Service to others is the rent you pay for your room here on earth”. This quote sums up pretty well why I enjoy what I do. It is one simple word, which is service. It is my honor to serve the over 5,500 residents that call North Royalton Ward 3 home and being their voice on City Council. On November 25th I was officially sworn in for my second elected term on City Council. I look forward to continuing to serve Ward 3!
Ward 3 Resident,
Just wanted to give you a quick update on some important items and upcoming events before the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Abbey Rd Closure for Road Construction
Abbey Road, as part of the 2015 Road Program, will be closed to THRU traffic starting TODAY October 13th for a short period of time to allow the road to be milled, repurposed, and cure. Those residents living on Abbey Road between Albion Road and Sprague Road will be allowed on the road (both northbound and southbound) to access their homes. There will be minor delays during this time, but this is necessary to rehabilitate this roadway. School bus traffic will be allowed through and will be treated as emergency vehicles. Of course, emergency vehicles can do what they always do anywhere. There will signs for the detour which will be northbound Abbey traffic west on Albion to W.130th and then east on Sprague. Those travelling on Sprague will be guided as follows:
1. Eastbound Sprague to York (south) to Albion (west)
2. Westbound Sprague to W.130th (south) to Albion (east)

Beware of a Possible Scam
I have been contacted by a number of residents who have recently received flyers from a solicitor at their door or mailbox for painting addresses at the curb of the street. They ask for cash or check. It could be a possible scam. Please make sure they are a registered with the city as a solicitor and have the necessary permits to do such work. If you have any concerns or see the individuals putting these flyers out in your neighborhood contact the North Royalton Police Department on the Non-Emergency Phone # at 440-237-8686. Also Click Here to read about a scam a few years ago similar to this that happened in Bath Township. If you do need a reliable address sign the North Royalton Fire Department does them for residents for their mailboxes. Click Here if you are interested purchasing one.
