Why I am Running

Dear Residents,

It has been an honor to serve both the communities of North Royalton and Broadview Heights as a Member of the North Royalton School Board. On February 1st, after close to four years of service on the school board, I officially announced my run for the North Royalton City Council Ward 3 open seat in the November Election.

Tragically, a month after my announcement, Ward 3 Councilman Don Willey died in office after losing his battle with cancer. As result, a vacancy was created on Council that needed to be filled within 30 days (per the city charter). On March 28th, I was appointed by North Royalton City Council, and I was sworn in on March 29th as the new Ward 3 Councilman.

Honored and humbled to finish out the balance of Don Willey’s term, my resolve to earn a 2-year term of my own is even greater. I am running because I want to continue to positively lead our ward and to move our city forward during these exciting yet challenging times. As a United States Army Veteran, a 2004 North Royalton High School graduate, and an active, 20-year+ resident of North Royalton, I look forward to serving in a new capacity that will allow me to continue my love of public service and my dedication to my hometown. I want to be an active part of the positive momentum taking place here in North Royalton by bringing my energy, experience, and loyalty to our hometown and my fellow residents of Ward 3 through my new endeavors on city council.

Transparency, communication, and advocacy have been the hallmark of my tenure on the North Royalton School Board and as a newer member of City Council. I am proud of what I have accomplished on behalf of the community and my positive record of service. If retained, I plan to continue that level of service and more.

I encourage you to use my website to learn more about me, my Plan of Action, and to remain informed about my campaign. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns about our city or ward. In the months to come, I look forward to meeting you and continuing to be your Positive Voice for Ward 3 on our North Royalton City Council!

Sincerely,

Dan Langshaw
Ward 3 Councilman
North Royalton City Council
