Ward 3 E-Newsletter: March 2015

Greetings Ward 3 Resident,

Hope you are staying warm. Mother nature has been pretty mean with both the snow and extremely cold temperatures. At least we are getting closer to Spring. Before I get into my monthly update for our Ward, I wanted to share with you some exciting news that happened recently in my life. On Valentine’s Day February 14th, I got engaged to the love of my life at the Greater Cleveland Aquarium with the help of some divers to pop the big question. Wedding to be held sometime in the summer of 2016. My Fiancee Marissa, her son Henry, and I look forward to our soon to be family calling Ward 3 our home with the rest of your families too!

Have a great Weekend!

City Update

Munroe Falls vs. Beck Energy Corporation Case
Recently the Ohio Supreme Court ruled 4-3 against the city of Munroe Falls in its battle for control over oil drilling within its borders in Munroe Falls vs. Beck Energy Corporation case. Back in 2013, while fighting against Cutter Oil Company attempt to mandatory pool city streets into a drilling unit in the Planets subdivision here in North Royalton, our city also filed a friend-of-the-court brief in support of Munroe Falls in this case. Munroe Falls sought to preserve home rule and allow cities to have some authority in where oil and gas wells can go within their own communities. Home rule allows cities to enact laws and regulations as long as they don’t conflict with general state law. Read More.
