Good Afternoon:
School is officially out for summer! I hope everyone has a great summer! Unlike our students, the School Board does not go on break for the summer. The Board is very busy this summer with various projects, preparing for the 2010-2011 school year, and ensuring the implementation of the district’s new 5-year strategic plan.
LAST WEEK IN YOUR SCHOOL BOARD
I attended the Policy Committee Meeting on June 10th to discuss some policy changes and updates.
The School Board met on June 10th for its’ Board Work Session and reviewed the June Regular Meeting agenda items. The Board had discussion on the district’s master plan options and creating a student board representative. In addition the Board received a stadium update; construction on the new bleachers will start the week of June 14th. The Board also discussed various other matters that came before the Board.
I attended the Retirement Banquet Honoring Marty Lydecker on June 11th, for his many accomplishments and years of service as a Band Director of North Royalton High School. Best of luck to Mr. Lydecker on his retirement! Special thanks to the NRHS Band Boosters for sponsoring this great evening!

This week there is a School Board Meeting, My Monthly Constituent Coffee, and various other events.
June Regular School Board Meeting on June 14th at 7pm @ NRHS Community Room, 14713 Ridge Rd., North Royalton, OH 44133. The Board will be approving various meeting agenda items, and such other matters that may come before the Board.

If you are a constituent living in the North Royalton School District, you are invited to attend my next monthly constituent coffee on June 17th at the French Quarter Café located at 5540 Wallings Road from 6pm to 8pm. I hold these coffees in order to stay in touch with fellow residents and listen to their feedback one on one. There is no appointment necessary. Simply stop by and talk to me. Hope to see you there!
North Royalton Stadium Foundation
The North Royalton Stadium Foundation’s sole purpose is to privately raise, with no taxpayer money, the necessary funds to renovate the High School Stadium with state-of-the-art synthetic turf and an eight lane all-weather track.
