Board Update

Good Afternoon:

I just got back from North Royalton High School Commencement Ceremony at the State Theatre. It was great being on stage with our graduating seniors! Congrats to the Class of 2010!

LAST WEEK IN YOUR SCHOOL BOARD

I attended the North Royalton High School All-Sports Banquet on June 1st. It was great seeing all the students who were recognized for their athletic achievements this year! Congratulations to all those who were honored and to those who received special awards, scholarships, and the inductee to the NRHS Athletic Hall of Fame!

On June 2nd I attended the City Earth Energy Environment Committee meeting. The recycling containers have been just delivered and will be up around the city sometime soon. There was continued discussion about Solar Energy Financing under House Bill 1.The committee also had discussion on next year’s city recycling calendar regarding its layout and information contained in it for residents.

I attended the North Royalton High School Commencement on June 6th at the State Theatre in Cleveland. This is by far the best part about being on the School Board, seeing our students graduate. I wish the class of 2010 the best of luck and congratulate them all on this major accomplishment in their lives!
