Greetings Ward 3 Resident,

School is officially back in session. I like to wish all the students who live in Ward 3 a great 2018-2019 school year! The summer went by fast. Although City Council was on summer recess for the month of August. There are still a number of things to update you on.

Holiday Schedule for Rumpke Waste and Recycling Reminder
In recognition of the Labor Day holiday, Rumpke Waste and Recycling service will be delayed one day the week of September 3rd. This means that if your regular pick up day is Monday, your rubbish will be picked up on Tuesday, Tuesday collection will move to Wednesday, Wednesday collection will move to Thursday, Thursday collection will move to Friday and Friday collection will move to Saturday. Rumpke will resume their regular pick up schedule the week of September 10th. If you have any questions, please call Rumpke at 1-800-828-8171 or Click Here for their full 2018 holiday schedule.

City Update


Sprague Road Closure
Please be advised Sprague Road between York Road & West 130th Will Be Closed Tuesday, September 4th at 7:00am until approximately 4:00pm AND Wednesday 7:00 am until approximately 8:00 pm. During the road closure, only LOCAL TRAFFIC, SCHOOL BUSES & EMERGENCY VEHICLES will be allowed. Local traffic could experience temporary delays. Thank you in advance for your patience.


County Property Tax Reappraisal
If you have questions or disagree with the Cuyahoga County Fiscal Office’s recent property reappraisal, you must follow instructions for filing a dispute by Clicking Here to or by calling 216.443.4663 (HOME). Deadline to file through the Fiscal Office has been extended to September 14th. Read More.

2018 City Road Repair Program Update
This year’s road program is wrapping up. City Council authorized the repair of five more streets as part of the 2018 Roads Program and to work with the City of Parma to add a thin surface overlay to Sprague Road ahead of the complete repair planned in 2020. Read More.

Bicentennial Gala Ball
On August 4th the First Lady of Ward 3 and I attended the City of North Royalton Bicentennial Gala Ball at Carrie Cerino’s. We had a great time! Thank you to the North Royalton Chamber of Commerce for recognizing me for being one of the Bronze Sponsors for the Event! Special thanks to all those who made this special historic event a success! Bicentennial Picnic
On August 5th my family and I had a fun time at the North Royalton Bicentennial Picnic at Memorial Park. It was great to see so many other families come out to enjoy the festivities! Thank you to all those sponsors and community groups that help make this a successful picnic!


North Royalton Bicentennial Community Festival Parade
On August 12th marched in the North Royalton Bicentennial Community Festival Parade. I hope everyone enjoyed the Festival, parade, and fireworks!

Back to School Safety Reminders
The North Royalton City School District is back in session. Please be careful driving in school zones. Schools buses are back on the roads and students are crossing streets throughout Ward 3 to catch these buses. Please be mindful of the posted speed limits of 25mph in the residential areas of our ward. Also maintain the appropriate distance away from buses when they come to a stop. Also when parking on city streets to wait for the school buses. Do not park your vehicle within 30 feet in front of a stop sign. You could get cited for being in violation of this particular city parking ordinance.


Ward 3 Recycling Tip of the Month

Recycling guidelines have been modified due to market conditions. Please refer to the postcard below that Rumpke mailed to your address. As a reminder, rubbish and recycling pickup is for normal residential use ONLY. House-flipping, major remodeling, home business trash, clearing out a house due to selling, etc. are NOT included as normal residential service. Please call the Service Department with questions at 440-582-3002.

City of North Royalton Shred Day September 22nd from 9:00am to 12:00pm at North Royalton City Hall/Memorial Park Parking lot at 14600 State Road . The event is a public service open to all North Royalton, non-business residents at no cost.  Please bring proper identification indicating you are a North Royalton resident.All your documents are shredded on site and there is NO LIMIT to how much material you can bring! If you have any questions please contact the Service Department at 440-582-3002.

2018 North Royalton Harvest Fest September 23rd from 11:00am-4:00pm on the City Green.


2018 North Royalton Health Fair & Family Expo will be held on September 29th from 8:30am-12:00pm at North Royalton High School located at 14713 Ridge Rd.
