Ward 3 Picnic in the Park Event

All those who attend are encouraged to make a donation at the event to help support a local hometown charity of John Owen’s Adventure (JOA), which is working hard to raise awareness for Duchenne’s Muscular Dystrophy and other chronic childhood illnesses. They are also working to develop funds for finding a cure, sustaining the quality of life for these affected children and educating the general public about such illnesses. More than 1 million Americans affected by muscle diseases. For more information about the event please contact me by email at ward3@northroyalton.org or call 440-785-4240. Hope to see you there!

Community Food Bank in Need of Donations
The Food Bank shelves are looking sparse, please help our local Food Bank Partnership (Royal Redeemer/Kiwanis/City of North Royalton). Here is a list of the most needed items: Cereal, Oatmeal, Peanut Butter, Jelly, Chunky Soup, Mac-n-Cheese, Tuna, Tuna Helper, Rice or Instant Potatoes, Spaghetti Sauce, Pasta, Pancake Mix, and Syrup. Sewer and Water Billing Change
I continue to get some phone calls and emails about this from residents. Just a reminder residents will be getting a combined monthly water and sewer bill. Also residents will just get a quarterly bill for the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer Districts’ Stormwater Management Fee instead of a monthly bill. Read More. Any specific billing issues contact Cleveland Water at 216-664-3130.

Back to School Safety Reminders
The North Royalton City School District is back in session. Please be careful driving in school zones. Schools buses are back on the roads and students will be crossing streets throughout Ward 3 to catch these buses. Please be mindful of the posted speed limits of 25mph in the residential areas of our ward. Also maintain the appropriate distance away from buses when they come to a stop. Also when parking on city streets to wait for the school buses. Do not park your vehicle within 30 feet in front of a stop sign. You could get cited for being in violation of this particular city parking ordinance.

City Reverse 911 System

My thoughts and prayers go out to all those in Texas impacted by the devastating hurricane Harvey. This disaster is a reminder that a natural disaster can happen at anytime. Communication is so important in such a situation. North Royalton Ward 3 residents if you are not signed up for our city’s reverse 911. Click Here to sign up today. It’s a great resource and tool to communicate quickly to residents in an emergency.

Ward 3 Recycling Tip of the Month
Most major printer manufacturers (eg HP) offer free postage-paid envelopes or labels to send back and recycle the cartridges. When you purchase your print cartridge, make sure you save either the envelope or label and box. When your ink runs out, put it in the envelope or place it back in its box, sticking the label on the outside. Then, just drop it in the mail. Many office supply stores will take used cartridges in exchange for store credit. You can also try:
