Just wanted to give you a quick update before we officially start off the weekend.
Heavy Rains Expected this Weekend
The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch beginning tonight at 8 p.m. and continuing until 4 a.m. Sunday. This is all due due to an unseasonably strong storm that could result in 2 to 4 inches of rainfall. Just wanted to share that Mayor will be having the North Royalton Service Department and Wastewater Departments working 24/7 during this weekend’s expected storm. Service department employees will be working throughout the city in an effort to prevent debris blockage in catch basins, culverts and streams. Just a reminder that you as residents can also do your part by inspecting and cleaning swales, ditches and sewer grates on your property. Your help and cooperation is appreciated!

New Reverse 911 System
With this weekend’s expected storm, it is also a good time to remind you about the new reverse 911 system that the city of North Royalton has implemented called ReadyNotify. All residents are urged to sign up. Residents can sign up by utilizing the link provided below or by going to the City’s web site and clicking on the ReadyNotify link. Once you click on the link residents will have to create an account and select how they would like to receive messages from the City as well as Cuyahoga County. If you have a traditional landline and are currently receiving North Royalton reverse 911 messages there is no need to sign up for the new program. We did obtain all traditional telephone numbers from the phone company and will load them into the new system. Residents can choose to be notified by landline, cell phone, text message and email. The City utilizes this program to notify residents of local emergencies and events going on within the City of North Royalton.
