LAST WEEK IN YOUR SCHOOL BOARD

The School Board met on August 3rd for its’ Board Work Session. The Board got an update on the stadium renovation project. Thus far the project is going well and the retaining walls have been completed and the construction company is currently working on the sidewalks and handicap ramps that lead to the bleachers. The bleachers should be installed in the next few weeks. The board discussed looking into alternative energy sources such as the use of a wind turbine as a means to reduce the district’s energy cost. The North Royalton City School District has revised its Policy and Administrative guidelines relating to Section 504 and Title II of the ADA. Copies of the revised can be obtained by visiting the Pupil Services web page and clicking on the Section 504 tab or by contacting the Office of Pupil Services at 440-582-9140. On Monday after the regular Board meeting the Board will go into executive session to discuss teacher contract negotiations. The Board reviewed the August Regular Meeting agenda items, and such other matters that came before the Board.
